Still new at this forum but have some post-worthy stuff i hope. I spent last winter at killington which was ok. accept for the fact the four previous winters were at alta and the bird. On top of these i tore my acl early in the season going about mach thirteen down Superstar. so i was a little bummed. i ended up moving to hawaii in june with my girl for a winter off to rehab, some traveling, and surfing. its going great so far but starting to jones already-and have some trips planned back to the wasatch.
Anyways, since i've been here i've had a pretty hard time finding a job so i've been doing a lot of hiking and surfing. I got back last week from Kaui hiking the Kalalau trail which was unbelievable. On top of it i met two people that worked at watsons-awesome-pretty crazy to be talking about favorite lines while sitting on the beach.
Enjoy the pics, and if you ever have a chance visit this amazing hike. you won't forget it.
We camped at Hanakapia beach the first not. The whole trail is 10.8 miles long. this is only about two miles in bedause we had a late start. not to mention i had that lightest pack wieghing in at 52 pounds at the airport. quite ridiculous but very fun to laugh at.

The surf at this beach was pretty big. Eighty-two people have died trying to swim here. pretty crazy.

This is taken about three miles in. The whole trail had these sick views pretty much along the whole way.

We actually stopped at six miles in also. At a camp ground in the forest called Hanakoa. One of the only parts of the trail far in the woods, but with a killer creek right next to it.
As we kept going the views just got better and better.

The first five people i met were butt-ass naked and real nice. One girl i met had been there since may of 2003. Another guy pictured here for two years. Little Skitzo but overall a nice guy.

The trail is on the bottom right. Its kind of wraps around the corner. Some of the trail is a little tight but nothing too bad-unless its raining or has been raining-i'd assume.

This was one of the best experiences i've had. the people i was with made it that much better. Emily, Mitch from watsons were awesome to meet, and i'm sure i'll be seeing them to catch some turns this winter.
Rob, thanks for the ride-we ended up making it in perfect time to the airport.
Keep in touch and take care.
