    Tahoe about to get hammered!!!!

    Winter Storm Warning in Sierra:

PRECIPITATION WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY. SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS GUSTING OVER 70 MPH AT TIMES WILL ACCOMPANY THE HEAVY PRECIPITATION CREATING WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS. SNOW LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO START OUT BETWEEN 5500 AND 6000 FEET THIS EVENING...THEN LOWER TO 4500 TO 5500 FEET ON TUESDAY AS A COLD FRONT SWEEPS ACROSS OUR AREA. TOTAL SNOWFALL FROM THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 FEET.

    Alpine's cam, not updated.

Squaw says 3-6 inches...looks like about that on the High Camp cam. 25 F at 10:00 am.

Kirkwood, cam is hard to tell but looks like they got a fair amount. The satellite image last night around 11:00 pm looked like the clouds were streaming right at it in between South Lake and Yosemite.

Last time we got a storm like this early on it was 94-95 in early October and that year was MASSIVE!!!! close to 1,000 inches at KW.

That's an old pic. They've had that same exact pic up on the website for over a month now. I'll bet it looks a whole lot better up there right now.

Yeah, the streaming web cam looks ALOT better. Mammoth's cam/report is reporting 12 " new at the Main Lodge , so I'm sure KW is more in that range than the pesky dusting shown in that pic above.

3 feet would be a nice start to the season. If I wasn’t flying across the country this weekend I’d be there for sure. Game on. (Tyrone, you best get some Sunday morning, this might be your last best chance for powduh.)

Nope, this year is gonna fucking suck. Nature is a big wuss and doesn't like to snow much anymore. Old man winter is shacked up and too old to come out make it snow 2 feet every other day.

    Don't jinx it asshole

I pulled into the Squaw then Alpine parking lots this morning around 9:00, it was awesome. Just a dusting, noticably more at alpine just a few hundred feet higher. Cold and overcast. Tits.
