Kayaking and Snow From Dec 26 - SE Style

Ended up getting out over the holidays on some fun stuff. Unfortunately it was real cold but still good.

I was hanging with the in laws in Anderson SC and met some buddies up in Rosman NC to hit up the West Fork of the French Broad (WFFB) and the North Fork of The French Broad (NFFB).

I've done the NFFB a few times but never the WFFB.

Met up around 11 AM with a few inches of snow on the ground and it was cold. It never got much above 40 the whole day.

We had about 6 inches on the WFFB. Put on and scouted all of the 4 major drops. Only Tim ran the first one and ended up swiming out of the bottom hole. FIred up the rest and boogied on down to the NFFB.

We had a solid level on the NFFB. Actually a Great level. We had a swim at the Clog and a stuck boat but once it was retrieved we finished up the day. Cold and dark but a fun filled day.

Here are some pics of the WFFB (camera dies of cold before the NFFB):

Serially. I miss the watery wetness and that smell of rivers, creeks, and boatgearfunk. Not to mention all the fun.

    Always dig that SE stoke.
