...just put in an offer on a house...

    ...for the first time ever!
Man, buying a house is nerve-wracking! 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage - with a little work we'll be able to turn this sucker in a few years for a nice profit.

If this deal goes through, we'll have plenty of crash-space for couch-surfers, it's a sweet place with good access to I-80 on the east side of Salt Lake, near Sugarhouse. (~2700 S, ~1400 E)

They have until Monday at Noon to accept or counter; waiting sucks!

Has you offer been accepted buy the seller?

Congrats on your first purchase. No better investment than realestate. And nice location too. Quick access to the canyons.

We just sold our house in Flagstaff and made big bucks in four years. Turned those bucks into 2.34 acres with mountain and lake views.

Wohoo!! When is crackhouse spectacular 4 remodel!?!?

    I thought so.

Good luck on the bidding process, it can be a blast or a pain in the ass depending on your opinion of negotiating.

Congrats! We closed on our current place (also our first) while driving from CO to UT for a short ski trip. A lot of sleepless nights, but so happy it all worked out.

I think UT esp. the SLC/PC/Sandy area is going to be huge...nice work.

Good luck RB. Just went thru the process myself, what a pain in the ass dealing with a totally unethical and uncommunicative seller. So glad that's over. Hope your deal goes smoothly.

Just so you know, I sold my pickup and trailer as soon as I read that you will be moving soon.

Only kidding, let us know if you need a hand when the time comes. Congrats!

    Thumbs up

So Monday we will see a thread about you hosting the MINI party as well??

Man, you have a lot of parties coming up.

Good luck, and the "we" did catch my eye too. Triple lindy with a twist into the deep end I see.

Can we throw stuff out the windows like I did in my move? I saves a lot of time for softer stuff.

Congratulations! Just as others have mentioned, there really isn't a better place to spend $$ these days than real estate! Nice sod too!

So, was the clincher the red door?

Thanks for all the good wishes; still no response from the seller (hey, it's Sunday in Utah, I wonder where they could be???? )

Anyway, they have until noon tomorrow to counter or accept; I'm assuming they'll counter, and I really hope this house comes through!

Oh, and about that Red Door; it, and the whole house will be a different color soon enough - and that sod will be buried in snow until spring, so I've got a few months before I have to worry about that...
