Postage/Packaging Question

Anyone know if you could use a "Priority Mail" labeled box and affix 1st class postage? ...or do you have to pay for priority postage. I'm returning a cell phone and the small priority boxes are perfect, but I have a pre-paid 1st class shipping label.

tape over anything saying "priority" with tape that is dark coloured, packing tape works great for this.

if thats the case, wrap it in butcher paper, sharpie the address in and call er good

If they figure out you used a Priority Mail box for First Class, they'll return or deliver it postage due for the difference. I know people who have used the boxes inside out and everything who got hit with the extra charge after mailing it. Be careful.

I was at the post office today and asked about this...the clerk told me the same thing. Phone is now going in a granola bar box.
