    votepair.org - vote-swapping?

I didn't even know this existed until my boss was complaining that he thinks it's immoral, if not illegal. (From what I've read, there are people trying to make it illegal, but it's not.)

Basically, if you're voting for Kerry in a state like Utah, where you may as well not bother, this site sets you up with someone in a swing state that wants to vote for Nader, or some other third party. You vote for who they want, they vote for who you want... the vote for Kerry can actually make a difference, but there's still a vote counted out there for that third party candidate who isn't going to win anyway, but it's now in a state where it isn't helping Bush.

Hmm.... thoughts? Sounds like a good idea to me.

It's amazing how we succeed on so many levels at complicating the simplest processes all the while simplifying the most complicated.

    unreal.

There is a referendum in CO letting us decide whether to have the ability to split the electoral or keep the winner take all. It gives third parties a fighting chance, but seems to mute a smaller state's vote.

CNN has been all over this for the past couple days. i hadn't heard of it untill now, but i guess there was a fair amount of it in the last election too.

i'm sure they will try to make it illegal. such a shame though when you can live in a country based on demoncracy but know that your vote isn't going to count. where is the democracy in that?

Im signed up The CO referendum is a good idea, less for places like CO than Florida, which basically votes as three states Northern Rep, Southern DEM & middle toss up.

Funny, because I thought when it comes to the excutive branch, we are a republic, not a democracy. Our votes steer how our state's electoral college votes; the members of the college may can choose to ignore the people and cast their electoral vote however they want (and doom their political future). It's the winner take all idea that is somehow ingraned in the college that is the problem. But please remember, when it comes to the president, we're a republic, not a democracy (until we change this ancient system).
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I am swapping votes with my Brother, He lives in Portland. He thinks that I am going to cast his Nader vote in Utah and He will cast my Kerry vote in P-town what he doesn't know is that I lied cause I am going to vote for Kerry. Screw Nader. Ha Ha. Oh yeah if any one else out there wants to swap just let me know cause I plan to vote about 10 times.
