    .
Very slightly hazy. Otherwise clear as a bell and cool with all the fall colors going off. Should be no problem unless the wind shifts.

    Slim,

All Mission hipsters worth their tight pants and vintage t-shirt collection know absurdity is the new irony. Obviously choosing “hella” as an adjective to describe the potential for wildfire in California is absurd. Extreme would have been apt, but the jokers who read this forum would get confused and wonder what the hell smear turns and hip-checks had to do with wildfire.

See you at the Vintage Shoe Room, I know you’re dieing to get some new Kangaroos to match your Member’s Only jacket.

Well, if you were born in 1982 a Members Only jacket is pretty old school and hilarious, thus kids will rock them and vintage shops will sell them, however, I draw the line with wrestling shoes (which some peeps are trying to revive). Wrestling shoes are horrible, as were the people who wore them to the mall, but I’m all for the “Artist Crowd” attempting to popularize the singlet as casual wear.

    Jazz hands!

It's clear and warm in Truckee, but Squaw was full of smoke last night. Not sure how it is over there today. Couldn't see the huge smoke clouds from Tahoe-Donner this AM, either....

That works for me. Getting tired of telling people "No, I didn't start the fire"

crap, now I have Billy Joel running through my head... <humming "we didn't start the fire">

So what you're saying is that the Members Only jacket sitting in my closet will collect some serious bling bling?

    Heh!

On a less funny note, it's really fucking smokey here right now. Visibility outside is down to around 200 yards. Forget even seeing the mountains. Also you can pretty much stare at the sun. It's just a bright orange disc peeking through the haze right now. The house even smells a little like smoke. Fack!!!

Yeah, I just drive from downtown out to Donner Lake, and there was a white standing wave of smoke coming over Cold Stream ridge from the south. I watched it build up and up an dup and eventually it came crashing down into the Truckee valley like a freaking wave. Now it smells like a chimney in my office and you can barely see across the Martis Valley. Fuck, I hope no one's getting hurt by these fires. I just had to go measure the slope in US40 at the west end of Donner Lake because a cement truck lost it's brakes and slammed into some rocks. The cement drum crushged the cab and killed the driver instantly - not a pretty scene. Bad juju up here in Truckee today....be careful out there..
