    My Son Rips!

I had the pleasure of taking my 3 yr old son on a road trip to montana, wyoming and colorado over the last week and a half. We took our skis just in case, hoping for some turns on either the ribbon of death, or i was at least hoping I could do a few turns on St marys. Well as it turned out, Loveland won't open till this weekend which does us no good seeing that we are back in Indiana.
So we drove up to Loveland pass so my son could play in what was left of the most recent snow. At first his biggest concern was to make a snowball that he could throw at me, then he wanted to fill the back of the car with snowballs to take home.

Spying a section of flat consistent mostly packed snow, I decided to get his skis out and let him tear it up.

Here is the best pic of him standing out there as we were hiking up for another run.

If my son wants to be a ski bum, that is fine by me. I sometimes wish I would have made that choice after school.

I am currently working on getting us the hell out of indiana and out to colorado full time. Currently we visit at least 2 times per year.

When we were heading back up for the third or fourth run a few snowboarders were going back to their car and told Blake that he was awsome. His response, "I'm skiing, I don't skateboard on snow, I'm a backcountry ripper."

Never even thought about it Homer. No rush on those anyway, I am just wanting to set up an older pair for lending to friends that I drag out skiing.

Anyway. Mebe you can help me look for a good place to live in Denver. I am pursuing a job with a firm in LoDo possibly, and am seeking at least a 3 bdr house or decent townhome to possibly rent.

I know little to nothing about any areas outside of LoDo, Golden and Boulder.

This may hapen as quick as the next month or two or as far off as spring, depending on what I can work out.

Snowfire, yeah the trekkers made it, and as it ended up, I didn't need them before this trip. I knew it was a long shot.

Anyway thanks for the kind words about my son. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to my wife and I. And he loves skiing to boot.

This evening he was telling me he wanted to go skiing tomorrow on the big mountain in colorado again, but wondered why snow had to be so cold.
