Specifically - is there any truth to the "urban myth" that you shouldn't move a fridge on its' side?
I know that oil can clog the expansion valve, but won't gravity fix that after a couple hours?
Other than that - is there any other damage that can result?
I ask because I got a new fridge last night. HAD to carry it on it's side.
F'n fridge has been plugged in since 1pm today & I'm told it isn't even getting COOL yet. (Apparently, it doesn't even sound as if the compressor's turning..)
PLEASE tell me my new fridge isn't facked.
edit: Ok, my sources tell me that nearly 5 hours later, it's cooling off. This strikes me as un-normal.
