Though things can get kinda kinky at the Canyons, so be ready.

Bird defenitely has better terrain than Alta. and alot more stuff to jump off of. just don't rip around there until there's a hundred inch base unless you want to fill in 3 different core shots the next day. tram runs on zero vis days are also not that fun

Get the Bird pass. That is all.

Best thing about the Canyons: backcountry access

I plan to be at the Bird on the board on Sat, Dec 18 for the MINI.

Or I may ski suck, depend of conditions, but if we have some boarders there, I will follow suit most likely.

Will only have a few days on skis (maybe, snow and moola dependent) before that, but getting on the board is like riding a bike.

AND what is this IF shit???

And having never been to Alta and have had a ton of fun at the Bird, I like Snowbird better too.

I'll be at the Bird on Saturday for sure. I don't know where I'll be on Sunday though. What kind of play are we talking about here

aha! and the war has begun. I agree with ya MD9! as for the pass deal, until moving to WA and Alpe last year- I spent the previous 5 winters with a 'Bird/Canyons set up. That was purrrfect! Nice to have both options available. Two totally distinct areas. But then again, I lived in PC and would head up to the Can when time was either crunched or the one day/week I was too lazy to make the 35 minute trip to the 'bird. And for the $500 price, you can't go wrong, provided you can make at least 12-15 days at The Bird.

I think the kink gets kinda low but the end is about waist-high through the winter. It is the Canyons, after all.
