Jaws Going off right now 12/8

Swell up, all the boys in place. Shots from just after sunrise to 10 am.

Rode MBT down to Wai Ki kena. 500 people on the next point, traffic unreal. All kind tourists in slippers hiking all over the pineapple fields.

I counted 37 jet-skis, 5 choppers, 2 light planes 5 fishing boats and a zodiac. (at 9am} HUGE drops, both left and right, many simultaneously. Good work
by the tow partners and drivers. Saw a few wipe-outs and there were always 2-3 skis responding and one chopper overhead spotting. This is life-threatening shit here.

    Cool man, thanks.

So do all these waves need a tow? Anybody able to, like, just paddle on to the wave?

And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Not today, guys have tried, but sling-shoting by a ski is the way. If it looks sketch they can be towed right out of the way without letting go.

Here is a couple I blew up a bit, you can see the ski kicking out and the peanut gallery.

    Yesterday was fucking big.

Could hear it pounding all night again.

These are great shots from the more northerly lookout.

Look at the guy riding left 8 from the left top row.

Plenty guys going left yesterday, but mostly straight-line to the channel.
Not a good place to get caught inside. Very few 'Smackin' it!

Thanks for the pictures guys. Couldn't make it out to Maui this year. Seeing this swell makes me immediately regret that decision.
