so im looking to do some more ice climbing this season.. ive just done a little bit, and am looking for people to meet up with who know what theyre doing. I'm comfortable w/ the equipment via a bunch of ski mountaineering/glacier travel practice/etc. just havent climbed a whole lot of vertical ice. I'd really like to find someone in the ny area that is into it, needs a good belayer, and doesnt mind me being a little bit slow at first.

Hey snorkeldeep,
We met at McAleers for wings a month or two back. I'm no alpine hardman, but I do know what I'm doing. If you've got axes, spikes, and a harness then we're golden. I didn't climb last winter due to injury and I want to make up for it this season.

I'd be down. I did some climbing during NOLS and when I was in Jackson but nothing recent. Have some gear but would not consider myself experienced but would be willing to follow a lead.
P.S. - Isn't it about time for another EC meeting? Yanks vs Sox game anyone?
