    Utards - insurance help..

trying to get some of the logistical shit done for the move -

Health insurance just popped up on my radar - are there any decent choices for self-employed people out there?

pretty much want full coverage in case of a major event-as you freaks keep blowing out knees left and right, i'm gettin' a little concerned

but here in maine, there's no choice other than blue cross/blue shield, and I'm paying $286 a month for full coverage. would be nice to pay a little less if there's options. anyone have something more reasonable?

    other random moving things:

direct tv is looking like the way to go, but gotta make the call on NFL sunday ticket - only have a 19" tv right now - would like to get a wide screen around xmas, but to pay the season fee at this point kinda seems silly or if I can just suck it up and watch the normal CBS/FOX coverage - but I don't wanna miss any major patriots games!! or, i can hope that a local bar has sunday ticket to watch those.

speaking of local bars in Park City - some of you know some restaurant owners I think - I've been toying with the idea of bartending again - just a few shifts maybe, to get out of the house, meet people, etc. i'm sure this area's pretty competitive, not sure if it's worth my time to persue unless someone knows someone.

Check out a company called Gem if they're still around.

I get mine through American Medical Security(eams.com). They use Intermountain Health Care whichs covers just about every doctor in the area. Covers a ton of stuff and isn't bad for the price.

You could also go directly through IHC, prices vary on deductible. I think their website outlines the plans with price breakdown.
