426 Four stroke. Not quit as zippy as the 450's but still plenty of punch.

    No doubt.

If you hit a sturgeon at the speed a Screamer can acheive you will explode for sure.

If you don't mind me asking, who much does a little toy like that set you back?

Heh, that screamer's older than dirt and heavy as hell but still pretty fun. Don't use it too much because it's too big but had alot of fun on it.

That's a 2001, they go for around $2800 - 3000. The 2005's just came out so the dealers are shoving the 2004 out cheap, around $5000 for a 2004 YZ450 brand new right now.

    Very nice.

Don't hurt yourself firing that thing up though.

IF you can start it... those YZ426's are notoriously finicky to get fired up, especially when hot.

edit:Flykdog nailed it on the right color...

Just got back from a quick first ride on the dirt. Oh hell yeah! Scary fast, I like it. Alot.

AntiSoCal: I jumped a twig. No school busses. I owned that twig though. Seriously. Owned.

Nice buy tong! My brother just bought a yzf 450 and loves it. He's been riding two strokes most of his life, he bought a yzf 250 a couple years ago, loved it, but the 450 is just wicked from what he says. Have fun on that bad boy!!!

    edit:
Sweet. Glad to see you bleed blue. I have an 02 426. I do not have any trouble firing hot/cold/lukewarm whatever.

Also you can put a 2003 exhaust cam in your 426 and it will fire everytime.
Let me know when you make it to so cal and we'll go riding.
