Not sure if this is a re-run - I searched, but couldn't find anything about this.
Just got a spam email about the new Warren Miller flick...
Here's the trailer: http://www.warrenmiller.com/wmiller/trailer/popupl.html

Cool. The Hugo shot is from Frazier Lake, MT; where's Cody's stuff?!? And the guy not clearing Chad's gap is, of course, Jamie Pierre. I saw that in person with KD, looked crazy painful.
Have not seen the trailer, but will post a review on Sunday.
He's listed as one of the athletes. So I'm sure we'll see him.Originally Posted by slippy

I just watched the trailer, looks ok- but what's up with making a movie full of people wrecking???![]()
Hey I didn't fucking crash. And Hugo didn't either. So we did our part. Hugo and I roomed toghether and on the first night we vowed to stay away from as much cheesy shit, plugs, sponsor crap (other than our own) and other dumb shit as possible.
Random fact- Me and Davenport are wearing the exact same thing, and Kina Pickett is wearing the same jacket and Jamie Pierre wore the exact same jacket in the beginning of his seg in Stimulus. 4 people, 4 different trips/ segs-same jacket. Lame. It's a damn cool jacket from Salomon, it just sucks we wore the same thing.
Alka; props to you for that...have you watched the trailer yet?
Yes, but you have to admit that trying to trash that Jeep must have been wonderful.Originally Posted by Alkasquawlik

Watching Warren Miller trailers always makes me feel like I've just watched all the interesting parts of the flick right then and there.
I do want to see Cody's segment, though.
Keep an eye out for the Banff segement and let me know what you think. I'm the guy in the yellow jacket. Filmed it one week back on snow after back to back knee blowouts. (one replacement and one badly torn MCL) Definitly wasn't skiing to strong but got some good shit done. looking forward to seeing the finished product of what was 2 weeks of my life.Originally Posted by grrrr

God, that narration is annoying in the trailer--not Warren, the other guy.
Congrats to teamdirt and Alka. I'll be looking for both of you in the movie.
Yeah, we've been working on that flick at my work for a while. I haven't seen the whole thing, just a few minutes here and there. I know it's Warren Miller, but it's still skiing, and it's been helping the jones along for a couple of months now. Props to all involved.
What's wrong with plake?
say what you will about the flick, but the cinematography in that trailer is very good.
it goes great with the shitty music.Originally Posted by The AD

Looks sweet. It's skiing, I'll watch it.
Couple things....
Charlotte Moats doesn't work at O'Shucks in Park City.
O'Shucks doesn't have dancing girls.
Looks like the stuff they shot with Moles and Nobis in UT the day altachic and I went heliskiing didn't make the cut.

I didn't realize Moles still skis. I thought he was just doing the fulltime apres' skiing now a days.
Every Warren Miller flick is the same year after year, but I must admit it's kinda cool to hear his voice each fall.
I saw Cody's segment already - it's really not that great, just worthless low-angle pow and blatant sponsor plugs, which seem to be all he's interested in anymore. The kid just doesn't push himself, or his skiing at all. It's really such a shame, he used to be such a great racer, now he just struts around like he's all "pro-bro" extreme skier guy, trying to start fights with Chicanos at house parties. Lame. Go back to snowlerblading, where you belong, loser.
I hear they borrowed some good Glen Plake footage from Nick Mercon. It really had nothing to do with water skiing, but i think there's some water?
Well the monkey bar does; it opened last fall and it is right next to O'shucks, as a matter of fact Gregg used to tend bar at Shucks is the owner. I was there two weeks ago, they don't get naked, but you'll get the best lapdance in Utah, no lie.Originally Posted by Ski Monkey

What is Impact rated? I just found out that it's going to play here, and my son was watching the trailer with me and was interested in it, so I need to find out if it's OK for kids under 10.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
