    Question Legend 8800 vs. Inspired?

(already tried the search function – no dice)

What is the difference (if any) between the Dynastar Inspired by Nobis/Intuitiv Big vs. the Legend 8800? As far as I know they have the same sidecut (117-89-110), same Autodrive construction, same hull-shaped tip, etc. Only difference I can see is cosmetics.

But apparently the local Dynastar rep has said that the construction is different (I’ve only heard this secondhand, though). Does anybody have any info?

And, yes, I am too much of a wimp for the Super Nobis/Legend Pro. Sure do like my 188 Inspireds, though.

The new one is supposed to be stiffer. Oh yeah, and more expensive.

FWIW, the Dyna warranty rep told me they were "a little lighter and a little stiffer."

I like the Inspired's graphics better, but I'm getting used to the orange. The only thing left to do is to actually ski them. What a concept.

I normally ski the Intuitiv Big. The 8800 skis very similar, but the LP was quite a bit more stable in the mank. If price was no object, I would go with the Pro's. But I can't see paying a big premium over some of the older models.
