Rigging Avalung 2 to my pack?

I've seen a few posts and a video of this online and it looks like a decent way to go. I already have a good ski pack but am thinking of using zip ties to attach it to my shoulder harness and side of pack. My rational is if it is integrated into my pack, I will always have it and won't have to deal with the hassle of removing it... when layering, and with my beacon harness.

I'd rather spring for an avalung 2 instead of a $260-plus for a BD avalung-pack.

Any of you out there with hands-on experience doing this?

You might want something a bit stronger than a zip tie (especially the thinner ones). Just try how easy it is to pull one open before you rely on it to hold things together in an avalanche. (N.B. zip ties are popular in home made ski leashes that are intended to COME APART in avalanches).

Oops... was supposed to be zip ties plural

Properly zip tied, the avalanche has little to lever on unlike a ski
