I had a friend come out from Louisiana a few years ago and he saw me posting on the old powder board. We got to laughing about some of the posts, and he started asking questions about all of the maggots. He thought it would be funny for someone from the South to get on just to see what would happen. That's when we created Vicarious Powhound, and he NEVER posted once using that name. He went back to Louisiana, and I kept posting as VP. The dude lurked and laughed his ass off at some of the flaming, congratulating me with “my real teenage spirit.”
Funny as it is, my friend in Louisiana is really named Max Gosey. We'd laugh everytime we talked on the phone about VP, but he wasn't laughing when I crossed the line and used his name "Max" in a thread. He came in flaming me with one of the Geronimo aliases at the time as a friendly joke, (keep in mind that was his first AND last post ever) so I jokingly responded in the thread using his last name too. That thread got lost when Daniel came by and wiped out everything, but Max and I still laugh about it.....
We've had so many laughs over the Max Gosey/VP alias, it's unbelievable. The kid with the snorkel pic has been laughed about more times then I can remember, but it wasn't anything compared to when I claimed to ski with Max at Keystone, and all you guys took that as law that Max existed.....that was almost as funny as me posting the pic of me and some kid in the parking lot and saying it was Max...(compare the snorkel pic and the night pics of "Max"....fucking don't look anything alike! LOL) Max really did give that story to Powder and won skis, but he never posted about it here, he just kept me informed and I played along.
It was great to see you guys support “the poor kid” when he tried to sell the PR’s. That too was an experiment. Maxi really likes his PR’s, as he has skied on them a bunch of times since I was with him last. Per my recommendations he’s gonna keep up and tear em up. He told me to put them up on ebay to see if the maggots would do anything about it, and AGAIN you guys came through. Very funny. Verrry funny.

Pretty pathetic man. The amount of work you must have put in to maintain the kid here, on Pmag, and post a bunch of pictures on Biglines is disgustingly large. Plus you had an involved PM thing w/ me over a training program for "Max", and I'm not even a big poster on the board, so you must have done similiar things to countless others. Either Blurred spent all that time setting up the whole Max alias thing and stringing people along for months...
Or, he got a hold of Max and arranged to post a message under his name, bragging that the entire thing was a fake.

I don't buy it. I could be very wrong, but there are certain things that just don't add up to me. One thing in particular is this. Out of everyone on these boards, I have ALWAYS with the exception of bossass and KD been the first one to receive my issue of Powder before anyone else. Max was posting for at least a couple of weeks if not longer before I received my issue and I was the first person to congratulate him on the PMag forums. Since I never checked my private messages over there I noticed about a month later that instantly after I posted that message Max had PM'd me not believing that he won the skis. He wondered who to contact and all that and thought that I was joking until he finally received his mag and then believed everyone. I realize that isn't much proof but its the circumstances behind it all that make me believe that what happened was real. Here is the PM I received:

edit: notice his use of "Er", he also uses this in the "Anyone receive Stimulus yet" thread on page two which I have quoted in that thread. So, if this is indeed Blurred, has it been his form to be so nit picky with his alias that he would use "Er" in a PM to me from over a year ago?
