Rides in Vermont and New Hampshire?

Friday I hit the road to do some riding in Vermont and New Hampshire. So far I have no real plan, I know I want to hit up East Burke. Also going to check out Mt. Washington.

Any suggestions on spots I should ride? Looking to kill my legs daily on epic singletrack.

Ya, I got some riding suggestions for long killer MTB climbs. As a matter of fact, done 3 (car) camping/MTB trips in that area so far this year with another one scheduled for this weekend. My Bro and I usually make Zealand home base (campground = Sugarloaf #1).

I'll be talking with Bro today (he's got the riding book), but here's one of a few that I have done and will do again this weekend. The climbing is mostly on dirt steep fire road. 1st up Cherryhill, 2nd the singletrack (snowmobile trail too), 3rd a climb up Mt. Jefferson. 4th ends with a nice fast 2-3 mile fire road run down to the bar across the Street from Bretten woods. Great sights of ranges, & waterfalls (thats what they tell me, but after riding it, I spennt most of the time looking about 10 feet in front of me, so not to get discouraged at the "no sight of end climb". I believe it took us around 4 hours, but I'll confirm that too.(about 26 miles)

If sounds interesting, I'll give you more directions to trailhead as well as some other rides. Happy trails!

See books: CherryHill/ Mt. Jefferson Loop: (the long way)

Ask around at the shops in North Conway. Lots of riding there. I especially enjoy the Peaked Mtn. area.

I usually travel 93N through the notch and go through Twin Mt, thus I'm on the other side of Mt Washington. However, I am looking for some other riding, what the dirt on Peaked Mtn area?

Note: Cherryhill/Mt Jefferson Loop, I know its Mt. Jefferson and Cherryhill

Also, remember to stop and get your White Mountain National Forest Parking Permit. Although a lot of spots have a pay-drop, but...

Shirk: If heading 93N, in Lincoln, stop by the book and map store on the left (just after the Moose tour guys shop), the guy offers a lot of routes and info, but they got a great book on riding the area.

Those trails near Waterbury from the link look fun. Just had a glance at the old truckers atlas, is that the Waterbury near the Ben and Jerky's Ice Scream factory?

Also more of a tech talk issue but any locals reocmmend a good ski shop in the Vermont/ New Hampshire region. Looking to get fitted for a pair of tele boots. Can't seem to find a single shop here in central Ontario that carries any.
