Get any pictures? That must have been something.

That picture makes me think of a sweet tall tale.

Dude, I had just hiked 4,000 vertical feet to schralp some gnar on the side of Mt. St. Helens cone when the whole damn thing started to blow. As I was putting my skins away, I noticed a huge wave of lava headed right for me. So I tossed my skis on my feet and straightlined the whole damn face. Lava was nipping at my tails and giant flaming boulders were landing everywhere around me. My heart felt like it was going to explode, as I was doing mach looney down the hill. It was so fuckin' rad.

... and Kilauea is boring and predictable (a sheild volcano). Mt. St. Helens can go off at anytime. It's kinda like comparing Kilauea to that old girlfriend of yours a few years back who acted like a dead fish in bed (fun, but lacks spontinaity and zest), while Mt. St. Helens is that gothic chick/exhibitionist that you hooked up with for a few months in college - wildly unpredicable, highly explosive, voraceous, but you don't want to stick around for long because she's also pretty darn dangerous.
