So I have a pair of 195 s7's on the way and I also own a pair of 187 legend xxl's. My question is will there be any need for the XXL's once the s7's arrive? I also have a pair of 187 msp's for all mountain.

The XXL and S7 are completely different skis....I don't see any overlap here at all.
The XXL will be sweet for post pow days, and railing GS turns on groomers. The S7 will slay it in anything deeper then a few inches.
You should have been here yesterday!
Kind of a valid question though. It sounds like the 195 S7 is going to ski considerably different than the 188s due to the layer of metal and extra running length.
Then again, since no one has their hands on a pair of the super 7s yet, you're probably going to have to be the one to answer your own question OP.
I'm with PowTron on this one. S7s = wider and rockered. XXL = narrower and trad camber. Use S7s for new snow and XXLs for old, chopped snow and dust on crust. You should be in the clear.
Out of curiosity, when do you expect to have your 195s?
The 195 is going to ski very differently than the 188. Much stiffer, like the 190 Bibby. Still definitely a big day ski, but (speculating, and going off what our rep said) more edge hold on big mountain terrain and better ability to charge in more varied conditions. You could pretty much ski this thing any time there is soft snow.
I guess it kind of depends what you currently use your XXL's and MSP's for. If you use the XXL as a pow ski, then they will overlap more than if you used them for a daily driver.
The 195s should be shipping into shops in november.
I was on XXL's this past winter and my mate was on 188 S7's. As has been mentioned above these are very different skis and we found they have very different strengths.
Very basically, S7's go over everything, XXl's bust through everything. I'm not convinced a stiffer and longer S7 is going to turn it into a grud busting machine. That huge very rockered shovel is still going over the top.
If you use them as DC described, I think you'll find there's limited overlap.

Nine out of ten Jeremy's prefer a warm jacket to a warm day
Sounds like a pretty awesome combination to me.
