So now its John Kerry's fault that K2 decided to fire hundreds of local Seattle employees and move production to China? I guess it must be George Bush's fault that the petroleum based laminates of K2's are notorious for delaminating, right?

I hate to say it, but them thar K2s were made in the US of A at Vashon. The last American lots had 'USA' on the sidewalls, as his skis do; once production was spun up in China it was replaced by 'K2' on the sidewalls.
Go ahead and check, if you ever run into a pair with the 'USA' on the sidewalls, it will say Made in the USA somewhere on the ski. But trust me on this - the shop I worked at carried all iterations. They made the Axis Mod X (simply a re-skinned K2 Mod X, specifically a K2 Morrison with the Ti layers deleted and MOD cores added) for 3 or 4 years, it's still around now as the Apache X.
However, you can still fault Kerry for the fagbag, the Markers, and his douchebagginess. Fuck him.
