What about north and northeast? Still soft or has the sun and heat finally gotten to those?

The peak that nobody is quite sure how to pronounce

Tukuhnikivatz on the left, Tuk No on right. We went left

Celebrate Spring by booting the steepest stuff you can find

How bout some biking or climbing afterwards?

Lazy boy on Tuk summit with Peale in the background.

    Looking northeast towards Mellenthin

South Mountain and the Abajos in the distance

Chute 260. We couldn't get a car up Hell Canyon so we opted not to do this 3600 foot gem.

Try and guess what Jay is doing here

The aptly named Red Snow Cirque between Tuk and Tuk No.

We hit chute 170 then climbed back out and dropped into Tuk Cirque.

The Delicate Arch frames Tuk nicely

    strange inconsistency.

Just got back from Moab with Gnarwhale and we were talking about how nice these peaks look. That chute of the top of Mt. Mel looks tasty.

Skied some stuff up in the Park City area today. Still good coverage on most aspects above 8k. Found the best corn on low angle east aspects, around mid day at 9,200. The snow was smooth and travel was fast.

We skied a crusty although edgeable shot out...

grizzly - wasn't really gnar like i thought it'd be but the 4 inches or so on the ground skied VERY well, yeah you could obviously feel the bottom but it was smooth so it wasn't a big deal. obviously if we end up with a couple feet shit will be moving, but it seemed to have bonded pretty well.

we are def getting enough to make it smooth. I'll have all my gear on me and want to CHARGE this weekend. have bird pass, prefer to hit some easy access stuff (prolly just beyond ropes) before touring griz, cardiff, or alta? after the bird gets tracked out. sunday is my pick to sweat a lot on the way up.

Today felt more like early Feb than late April. Snow was delicious. Easy to get small pushalanches in the new snow layer to go.

Great shot of both couloirs. But that's pretty early to be booting...

Curious based on our PMs a while back - did you end up coming in from Mona or the loop?
