Close. We passed that dude on our way up. I had a blue jacket (same one I think), lhasa proto "brockers" with tele bindings. I bet I ran into you at some point though. Lotta people up there. I know my group was 2X larger than I like to tour with.

And RTR is right about the rocks and man made stuff. Because of all the man made, I chose to book it over to lower Rustler instead of Grand Rut Central Corkscrew and brave it through the shrubs. Bad idea. Hit rocks on every turn. Luckily Splat & Co put nice bases on their skis and do high quality edgework. I don't really do many tricks when I ski, but somehow, after hitting a large craggy rock, I managed to do 3/4 of a Lincoln Loop and land on another rock with my ass. Starting to bruise a bit now, but no worries. Looking forward to real coverage.

Nice pics, must of missed you guys up there this morning. First into Main chute again, guess people don't enjoy the skin on talus. Up top was scoured, choke looked good, but snow was upside down. The lower half was nice consolidated pow. We found some deeper stuff in areas sheltered from wind on the shoulder. Other then a bit of wind at the top, weather was great.

Well it looks like this has become the wasatch thread for the season. I was gonna start a new one but then I realized I'm not really responsible. Last years thread started with a pic of the Klaus house and it turned out to be a damn good year So I thought I'd post a similiar pic and hope the mojo for this season is as good if not better.

Pretty thin in the BCC compared to the LCC in similiar elevations.
Good skiing with you and your crew this morning Gnarwhale. Nice morning indeed wish I could have stayed longer, but one and done beats none.

No way. I'd be fine with it except for the "?" at the end of the title. Totally ruins it for me. Let's do this fo' real.

Smile Snow Conditions/Alta Supreme lift area

Split up to the lookers right of Supreme yesterday (10/31/09). Variable 4-6 inch base up to Cecret lift base, 6-12 inches at base of Supreme, and 12-24 up top. North-Northwest slopes have definately been favored. Rode untouched bluebie Big Dipper, bottomless...Yeah, I'm not gonna kill myself trying to be a hero on Oct. 30 with so little coverage. Next storm should give all the stuff up there the go ahead to get a little more ballzie.

Went up mostly to get the legs in order and make sure all the equipment was ready and rearing to go. All in all it was well worth going up Can't wait for 36" of new stuff so we can all go big. Think Snow! Cheers-shaun
