Question on posting pic files that are too big

I'm trying to post pics taken with a G2. The files are too big to post on the board. Anyone know how to shrink them? Do I do it in ZoomBrowser, on my C drive...I'm lost (and obviously not the most computer literate).

you can just post them on biglines, powmag, or in the gallery here, and link them via img tags.

if you want to attatch you have to resize them. i use photo shop bc i have it.

ur gonna hear a lot of tech talk replies, but try posting them on biglines.com . it lowers the files size automatically. then, all you have to do is copy the image location (right click on the image) and paste it in the insert image box ( on the post page, looks like a pic of a mountain).

edit: basom beat me to it.

I've used biglines before. I'll try that. But for future reference, how do I resize files? Should i be taking my pics in a smaller file format - especially if I plan on posting?
    Thanks again.

i always take the highest res possible, and then resize. you need a program that lets you export the pics, like say photo shop. some photo organizing programs do this too. i have a mac, so don't really know much about the PC software. i either use iphoto at home (mac) or photoshop here (PC).

If you have windows XP, just right click and choose resize. It will let you chose small, medium, large or custom. Or open any photo editor to resize.

What up phat man! You getting an Aspen 4-pack again?

If your using a pc, what ever program actually displays your picture should have a resize option. On windoze 2000 I think it opens in picture viewers or some shit. Doulble click on the pic, select edit. On the right side of the screen is a option resize. Select web large, then resave the pic. Either upload the big to the user gallery or attach.

Yo MB, I know you have lots of sweet pics, so fucking post 'em already!

Seriously, I think that the G2 comes with a Photoshop CD-Rom - load that bitch up and then resize in the edit fuction or whatever, and then save it as like Sopris_smaller_version or what-you-like.

Hope to see some quality ski porn from you soon.
