Yeah Natty, we both know we disagree on this one...I think that's the only thing we disagree on and you know i love you back.

Blurred is an asshole, i won't ever deny that. But it's hard because i've spent time hanging out with him and have gotten to know him.

    I'm done.

Gotta agree on that one. I've met Blurred in person and he was quiet and seemed normal. I don't see how that changes or washes away what a piece of human garbage he is once he gets behind the safety of a computer monitor.

The disparity between how he acts in person and on the board doesn't mean he's a "good guy." It just means he's "two-faced."

Which alias is going to attack me personally now? Nobody will ever be able to guess it's really you, Blurred, so let it rip. We're all just a bunch of sheep, as you've said.

I like the board just fine at present - the flaming banter gets us through til the snow flys.

The Max Gosey stuff was funny and would have happened a year ago had he not showed up at powmag after the exodus.

It's all good - lighten up, folks

Seriously, we're probably gonna have a bunch of "retirements" soon, I bet they're coming despite the fact that there's nothing wrong here at the moment. Hell, I've even had a few good laughs reecently.

    Lighten up, indeed.

NO SHIT. Exactly. Let's not get into a debate about if Blurred is an asshole or not. WHO THE FUCK CARES!!

All I care about is reading funny shit and seeing mountain pics.

Everyone is hot cause it is still FACKING HOT!!

    Bring the snow.

Met Brett once. Generous to say the least.

Stirring shit up for your own enjoyment, not right in my book.

Your choice man, you act like the old you get the boot again prob.

Let it snow and throw down with your hucks, not so much the keyboard.

Then again, what the fack do I know. I am one to add plenty of useless comments. Guilty.

    Hijack

On my drive home yesterday from Logan to Clinton, I drive through Sardine Canyon. It is full of hardwood trees and the colors are absolutely brilliant, or should I say, were. It takes about 20 minutes or so to get thru. The wind kicked up just a few miles up the hill and red and yellow and orange and red/yellow/orange leaves were swirling in the air to a point were it became a good idea to slow down a bit. As I make it out of the canyon, I would say a good 1/3 of the leaves from all those trees had made their way to the ground.

    My point: IT IS COMING!!!

    End Hijack

    Now Back to shit slinging.

I don't think it's been any worse here lately as far as bitch-slapping and trash-talking. But it has been very boring overall save a few rare threads. (And of course the new outfit jazzed things up quite a bit-- to ONS)

Putting it in realistic terms, these are the hazy surreal days before you know something really good is coming but wait you must. Like a swell job change, a long-awaited move, or...the SNOW falling again! You're just sort of hanging in a sort of dead-yet-pregnant limbo waiting...and then the lifeblood kicks in again full throttle and everybody's laughing and talking it up.

    Has been rather slow lately.

    Here's something vaguely interesting.

Ski Area Plans To Receive All Power Direct From Wind Farm

Big Rock Ski Area in Mars Hill, Maine, will receive all its power direct from a wind farm nearby according to an agreement drawn up with the wind farm operators, Evergreen Wind Power. The electricity would be used to run lifts, snow making and all other power needs.

Evergreen Wind Power is now asking the Maine Public Utilities Commission whether the deal, which along with its environmental benefits would also provided fixed energy costs for Big Rock Ski area for the next 15 years, is acceptable under state law.

Awww, come on now. The guy comes off and show's a deeper avatar than "pistol in ya face, pussy! I'm the mothafuckin' O.G.!" (so tired) and you try and bait him back into another pseudomasculine avatar. Fuck that. I've dug the other "in the eye of the beholder" avatars, personally. who knows where they're coming from, but they're so much more intelligent/interesting.

Agreed. B's a confirmed asshole at times, a little ignorant at others, but the guy can ski like nobody's business, is paradoxically capable of intelligent debate, and in measured doses, he's a joy to be around. The guy's got soulskier like you wouldn't believe and in probably only 2 or 3 other riders i've skied with in the past ten years have i been able to find the level of skiing/progression I've hoped for on a pow day or bc air session like I've found with Brett. The guy's got mad soul and skills.

Plus, while Blurred's been contemplating the severity of being formerly banned, and showing us a more genuine side of himself, i've liked how the phUnkstar's been stepping up to the plate with taunts. i fully support the hazing of our one and only Max, (where would we be without him?), all pretty mild in the grand scheme of our board's history, and phUnk's got that dry subtle humor thing going. Crack's me up.

In fact, I'd argue that the board's been just entertaining enough and had some reasonable stoke this fall. The funny pic thread is classic, for one. GG and other maggots have gotten some foto props in the mag. I personally would enjoy seeing our annual thread on proposed sticker designs for this year's summit. and for other stoke. . . hey, it's only september. Like Sprite alludes to the Oct./Early Nov. frenzy hasn't even arrived.

I don't get this "I've met him in person and he's cool."

Summit's handle should be Sherpa. Blurred's such an asshole Summit used to have to smuggle him to East Vail.

Why do you think he has a snowmobile?

The kid's the bane of Summit County pure and simple.

Ha! I'd love to but they'd consist of what I did from 8:00am to 10pm everyday 'cause I can't remember anything after that!

There are some funny stories to be had, though. Cletus? Cornholio?

Yeah, after rereading this thread, including my own posts, I'll agree with many of you. This is par for the course this time of year and while I don't always dig people slingin' shit at high schoolers, it's just the nature of this place. And it makes me laugh, more often than not.

As far as Brett goes, for the most part I've enjoyed his transformation. No matter how many names people call him, there's no disputing his intelligence or sense of humor. And I'll be the first to give him credit on his skiing ability, from what I've seen in vids and pics. The guy definitely has skillz and is a great skier. I just literally don't understand the two-sided aspect, and having a Jewish father, I'm not really into the biggotry, either, joke or not.

    I got nuthin', then.

Well, ok. Rev explaining to some chick what a "salt rocket" is in spanish was pretty hilarious.

And the dood with cave-eyes and a bloody nose at the 6:00am empanada stop was worth a laugh, especially in our own addled states.

Hemhoraging nose guy was fucking hillarious. I couldn't stop laughing forever.

I'd like to add the trip to Pablo's apartment or fish processing plant by the smell of it. Combine that with sleeveless rocker guy passing out at the bar and there was some awfully funny shit.

Oh..and the female Leonard Nemoy Cletus and I rode the lift with. She was hot, then took off her goggles and motherfucker was a Spock reincarnate! Freaked me out to no end.
