Thumbs up Stoke of the Week: This Years New Gear!

So I sit at work bitching about how much work I have to do in another thread, thinking about how much it sucks. When I arrive home the UPS man has arrived and dropped off the remainder of this years new gear. Oh yah, I say, I work for the money to spend on new ski gear.

Post em up kids! What is the new gear that has peaked your stoke-o-meter for the up coming season.

That is a sweet setup there SkiBeaver. Are you going to bring all 3 to Japan or just the fatties?

And I don't have any pics yet but I picked up 185 K2 Shuksans for super cheap. Going to mount them with FreeRides.

An apartment in Whistler, B.C. First month's rent and deposit already put down!

Also, I may just be able to swing a pair of i.M103s this year... (not that I need them of course. It's just that I already have the i.M85s and the Mojos, and I want MORE HEAD.

    Thumbs up

Got these from a fellow maggot that doesn't really ever post...

My first pair of midfats. My widest pair before this was only in the 60's or so, just race skis. These are around 80 so its a big step up for me.... can't wait to ski em!

Honc was a highly-acquisitive maggot this off season. Picked up a pair of Karhu Jaks to replace my busted MegaBangs. Got a brand new pair of 195 XXXs mounted with freerides for touring and I got me some spatulas for the uber-deep Kirkweed days. Hot damn!

Also picked up some new Solly X-wave's to replace the Nordica & Technica course models that have tortured my shins for the last 6 years. Onward & upward (then downward).
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

You make me envious, those are exactly the type of skis missing in my quiver.

Woohoo! I'm too lazy to post pics of my new stuff, but it's been a doozy of a fall:

    -Karhu Jaks
    -45L BD Stealth pack
    -New headlamp
-New Warm weather gloves (BD Dry tool)
-New Diamir Titanal IIIs (For my 178 Inspireds - is now gonna be my technical BC ski)

    That's it for now....

Well, nothing *new* but new to me - I just picked up that last pair of 195cm AK Launchers (yellow ones) with Solly S900's from Evogear for $199. According to UPS Tracking, they should be here at work tomorrow in the AM. They left SLC this morning, so I am assuming they are somewhere on I-80 right now...

[DOH!] shoulda got the JAK's [/Doh!]

Oh well, didn't have enough $$$ to get bindings. Maybe mid-season I'll pick up some more-fatter-fattier-fatties, but for now the lawnchairs will do!

    Can't complain!

    man...skis sure are ugly!

The only ones that look half way decent are the one that look like a snowboard.

ps. <this space reserved for when I can add new gear stoke of my own>

I've been comparing mine to my R9.22's and giggling like a little school girl. I love new gear. I've had a smile on my face since I saw the tell tale long box sitting on my deck...

This season's gear turned out much better then expected. New 4FRNT MSP 187s, Solli X-Wave 10 boots and Oakley goggles. And I guess the "Soul Purpose" and "Stimulus" vids that just came in the mail

since i've been out of commish for the whole summer all i've done is buy stuff that i cant use. way too much stuff, some of which was purchased on ebay while seriously lacking judgement due to insanely high levels of post operative opiate ingestion.

all i did after surgery is take drugs, watch every ski move in existence, and buy gear.

i also got a ski shop job purely for the pro forms, because i cant stop. i still need new boots (thinkng sally promodel) and a 90-95 mm every day resort ski. and i want a steezy hat.

    Still need boots.
Current list of new (to me) stuff:
    K2 Axis X from Joshbu
    Bromodels w/Rossi 140's
Rossi Bandit XX still in need of binders (anyone got cheap ones?)

That's about it. I need ski pants too, still haven't decided what I'm doing on that front, might just duct tape up my markers and just roll with it.

Colors sucks but the fit is great.

And maybe might be getting some new skis (model to be determined) if I can get my buddy to help me cut, split and sell some firewood.
