Euro package question - Cham or Val D'Isere

So we are looking at getting over to Cham or Val D'Isere this winter. A friend just got this quote and I wanted to see if you euromaggs had some feedback. These packages includes breaky/airfare/hotel and transfers:

    01/21/05-01/29/05

Chamonix $995.00 USD per person at the Hotel Pointe Isabelle
    John F.Kennedy-Geneva,Switzerland

Val D'Isere $1125.00 USD per person at the Hotel Les Cretes Blanches
    John F.Kennedy-Geneva,Switzerland

Apparently these are the cheap charlie special at two star hotels. Anybody know of these? Most ski packages only book with three star and up so this is it as far as cheap deals go.

And am i correct that ski tix run about 30 euro?

The one in Chamonix is on the edge of Downtown......a few feet from some of the better bars, 5 min tfrom the Aig du midi...10 min from the Brevent and 2 min from the bus to the Grand montets/Le Tour...it is a cheap and chearful Place....beware of the Dog!....Val Dispare is a great ski resort but not a mountain town to visit.....it is even more of a zoo than Chamonix and is at the wrong end of a long valley...Cham is 25 min from the Aosta valley in Italy and all its ski resorts and only an hour from Verbier in Switz....as for 30 eu tix, yes for the smaller areas, or about that if you buy a week pass..
