Bendin' those brakes is a pain in the arse (in my experience), but yes, it can be done. Or you can dremel 'em off, cause at 18 if you pop out, I think finding your ski is the least of your worries.

Either that or you could put them on park skis and not have to even try bending the brakes.

most people leave them on to where they just sit on the board. no need to take them off then.
