Unhappy "Reality Ski Test for CADS" hits home hard

We've all had our battles with injury and illness. When I started this ski test the first thing I thought of was how this ski test could help those that were physically disabled, that wanted to enjoy the feeling of sliding on snow that we all love so much. I decided the ski tests benefits should go to CADS (Canadian Assoc for Disabled Skiers).

Myself and all the testers I selected all felt this was the right thing to do. No profit, but let's help somebody. We found out a few days ago that we would end up helping one of our own testers. It has shaken us to our core.

Waldo (we call him that because he looks so much like "Where's Waldo") worked his final day in the ski shop today. He has been keeping his illness a secret from all. Nobody can blame him. Waldo is this wirery "Tele God" that when you watch him ski you only think: "how in the fuck did he do that".

Waldo has MS. He has been going through treatments at the hospital for the last week. He still wants to be in the test. The man has bigger balls than an African Elephant.

Here's to Waldo, with any luck the meds will keep that bad bitch MS away for a long time, I sure hope so.

I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, another neuro disease and just as bad as MS, when I was sixteen, it took the Docs a year to figure out they were wrong, I guess I kinda know how he feels.

    Hang tough Waldo.

That's core, man. Glad I'll be a part of the test.

We're very lucky to have you. Check your PM's

And we are all hoping that Waldo's treatments take hold so he can get back on the stix.

    Thumbs up

Hard when it hits so close to home. Best wishes to Waldo, and your ski test. Sounds like you might be on to something much bigger than what you first started, good luck to it. Very cool program youv'e got going TJ.
Skiing, where my mind is even if my body isn't.
