    USC/Stanford

If you aren't watching this game turn it on right now. Pretty amazing first half.
Yep, seen this before. Crazy liquor & cheeseburger party got out of control.

Barely saved their asses. Pretty weak showing for a supposed #1. They are gonna get a beat down in two weeks cause my guys are nice and rested.

Heh. The Bears busted 'em last year, let's hope they do the same this year.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, my Huskies completely suck this season.

I didn't see anything special in the first half, other than Stanford actually trying to be competitive.

Look, SC was in zone coverage for just about the whole first half. This is the type of D that Pete Caroll typically calls. Keep the play in front of the D-backs. Any good Q-back (eg., Edwards, today and Rogers, last year) will take what this alignment gives them and that's why Stanford had those two good drives solely on their ability to make the short pass under coverage.

I was concerned about giving up too much and losing momentum (like we did against Cal last year), but after we scored to make it 21-17, I wasn't worried at all. I knew we would win unless someone fucked up badly.

Second half, Stanford couldn't buy a completion and, like the first half, they couldn't run the ball. Final score could have been worse.
