It's only a "popup" if it... pops up.

Howzabout you just don't click on it? Eh?

It appears & disappears depending on what I'm doing.Since it's all about the semantics,I'll call it the pink monstrosity appearing ad.

I'll go along with the "keeps the board going",but does it have to have the asthetics of a pink flamingo yard decoration!

I'm sure everyone at TGR is sorry the "banner ad" (which is what the rest of the universe calls them) offends your stylistic sensibilities, but it's not a popup, it doesn't scroll across the screen or flash bullshit over the text you're trying to read (coughPOWDERMAGcough) and it doesn't make noise, so just let it go.

I get a bunch of em. Ad's for spyware and "jewelry" usually. If I leave the forum up for a few hours (accidentally) I have probably 15 popup's to contend with. My problem I guess...

    tad bit harsh isn't it?

regardless of what it is, it's a poorly designed ad with flourescent pink color...but maybe they were going for that look, it is, after all geared towards skiers

Pop up blocker as was posted above. That and a good firewall like Norton's Inet security. I never see any of those things.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet & the inverse is just as proportionate for a piece of shit.Regardless of it's designation,it appears on the screen when I PM somebody on the screen.
