Decided to try a little moon photography last night. Unfortunately I caught it a bit late - out of 75 shots taken (6 1/4 hours worth, I believe) I got 16 with a moon in(1 1/5 hours). Gonna try again tomorrow but, for today, enjoy

Cool. What kind of camera are you using? [camera jong]Is it a digital? Can you do that type of stuff with a digi-cam?[/camera jong]
Yup, digital: Minolta Dimage 7. It wasn't too hard - there is an interval drive mode, in which you can set the interval (1-60mins, I chose 5) and the number of frames to take (1-99, I chose 75). Then you just set up the shot (I used full manual - ISO 100 (lowest I can get), Shutter of 1/15, F8, Focus inifinity), click the shutter and off it goes. I also used a high power battery pack, though it turns itself 'off' between shots.Originally Posted by spanky

I'm looking at doing a plant one too, but I might have to wait 'till Spring. Another recommended one is building sites, apparently.Originally Posted by Mcwop
