I've seen a pair of sanouk at a price I simply could not resist. So here's 05-06 quiver:

    188 soft BROs with freerides
170 Scott Aztecs with some demo binding sh*it (rock skis)
193 Sanouks (still uncertain on what to drill)
178 Trab Freerando with Explorers for AT days

used only once so far here and I've been very happy. I selected them after a lot of serching function on italian/swiss AT forums and a lot of discussion with friends. I wanted sticks significantly lighter than BROs (which are already very light as fat skis) but still skiable, so gave up to the new generation of superlight Trab/dynafit skis that seem to be OK for races such as Patrouille de glaciers, mezzalama and Pierra Menta but actually to ski. My only about these 04-05 freerando is their nasty graphic... 03-04 graph was much much better, but I was unable to find them

As far as alpine bindings go, I mounted them 3cm forward. I've heard that some people have mounted them 4 cm. I'm happy with my mount.

    sanook mounting

yah that could be good, i just don't want to get to far forward, i'd like my body lean to determine how fast i go rather than where my boots are attached. good suggestion, thanks

    FINISHED!!!

Finally, I think (pray) that my quiver is complete.

    190 Igneous FFF 265 RA w/ Salomon s916
    189 K2 Seth Vicious w/ Look P18 @ +4
    186 Volant Spatula w/ Salomon s914
183 Volkl Gotama w/ Fritschi Freeriders
    179 K2 Seth Pistol w/ Scratch 100 @ +6

Raichle Flexon Comp - almost dead
    Raichle Flexon Pro - virgin

Hopefully I will stop buying skis now. I even may get rid of the Spatulas depending on how sick the FFF are.

That is a ridiculously nice quiver! Boots included. I think you've got a bit of overlap, though

    Now, don't get too jealous.

My really fat skis: 184 R:EX with Freerides. My everyday ski for slaying the PNW 5%. Skied with the almost-new baby-blue Denali XTs. Only three seasons on the boots, they kick ass. If you look closely, you'll see traces of Mt. Baker's Boulder-Park Cleaver on them, from my last trip back in August.

My fat skis: 188 Miras with Dynafits. Those bindings were expensive! Primo for more laid-back trips. The fats are well matched with the ultra-sweet Ghettofits....uh....Dynafits. I scored the shells for $10. Almost the same support as Dobermanns.

The Whippets are used to punish those who snake my killer lines.

    meh, not too bad.

it kind of goes like this:

190 Igneous FFF - *Those* days. These may end up being my only pow skis. If they are fairly manuverable then I may get rid of the spats. if not, then these will be for big days, ski area with lots of open terrain (specifically Crystal - where I ski the most).

189 Seth Vicious - Everyday ski

186 Spatula - currently the pow for days where I feel kind of lazy, and funky mess around day. I love these skis in trees, but I they aren't may favorates for big turns. That is where the FFF comes in. These would probably get a lot of use when I'm back in CO for Winter Break as they rule in trees. They may get use at Alpental also.

183 Gotama - touring skis. that is all that needs to be said.

179 Seth Pistol - park skis, early/late season skis. Also get use for days when it hasn't snowed in a long time.

So, the overlap isn't too bad, except the FFF and Spats, which I can at least justify to myself, which is a I guess all that matters.

I donno. I like fat skis. What can I say.

Tacoma...is...interesting. It isn't as bad because I'm on a college campus and my life at the moment is Organic Chem and Bio. We party enough and there is still stuff to do. And seattle isn't too far.

    whose your friend?

Iggys now have some Salomon Alpine binders (turning back to the darkside after 6 or 7 years) and the AKs will shortly have a bomber bishop plate. The non kneedroppin' wifes sticks are the two on the right.

    Lurking no more

I've been lurking for a while and decide this was a good thread to join on. I'm also selling a few of these skis so flame away if you need to. I'll get a thread into the Gear Swap shortly. Background info; I used to work in a shop in Teton Village and have lived here for about 13 years. I'm a Bosox and Pats fan, although those two areas have been a little rough this week.

New 193 Sanouks for AT, New 180 106s for sale, used 180 106s for tele, 190 Jerrys for AT, 191 10:EXs for sale, 200 Ultra Waves for speed, 210 DH boards for silly speed.
