Probably need to get a new touring setup

You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

    My assortment of skis...

    From Tele to Alpine:

Fischer Big stix 185 w/ Voile Hardwires
Scotty Bob Fat Bastard 175ish w/out Hammerheads (or bombers?)
Scotty Bob Moby Dick 175ish w/ Hammerheads
    BD Verdicts 170 w/ hammerheads
    BD Crossbows 170w/ G3 Targas
Good Ole' K2 Piste Stinx 175ish w/ Red Chili's (these are soon to be passed on to a friend)
Scarpa T2X and T1's mmm.. so comfy...

    And to the alpine side:
K2 Public Enemys 171 w/ sweet old Markers ($5 bindings, couldn't say no)
Rossi Scratch BC 171 w/ Marker Comp Free -these are my everyday ski...
K2 Extremes 186?, kamp k2 edition, signed by some k2 pros (for a scavenger hunt)
Atomic Pimp 183 w/atomic something bindings (they were a rep's demo ski)
Rossi 9x 185 for those solid days when I'm bored of everything else- wish i'd gotten the 193's...
And my baby's, 179 Pontoons w/ annoying and heavy Rossi Scratchs. ugh. wish i'd paid more and gotten better bindings for these. (these skis are what i got for helping win the aformentioned scavenger hunt. f-yeah.)
Dalbello krypton cross. i can't believe how comfortable and light this boot is.
also, my k2 v6 poles, which are ridiculous, but they were free.

    Missing from the photo:
Salomon Screams 185 w/salomon binders (don't remember which)
1 pr Rossi bindings -might have to get rid of those
    1 pr Marker comp bindings
    Burton T6
    Burton Ross Powers
    K2 Fat Bob
A few pairs of snowboard boots
a matching pair of burton snowskates (120 or 130?)
a libtech super long snowskate (150 or something)
    my boyfriends Burton Raven
My next pair of skis, trying to decide between VCT's, ninthward tha's, or bro 183's. depends on which i can find first for cheapest..
numerous helmets, and even more numerous goggles
and many many bicycles, i think as many as there are pairs of skis...

Boy, i wish it weren't too cold to ski.

you can tell i live in a place with not many pow days. i'm still working on that side of the collection, and on those ski trips to use them. i only recently got addicted to fat skis, and trying to convince my boyfriend that i need more skis is a difficult prospect. especially when i trade in 75mm skis for 100mm skis. which is really the best way to go, obviously... when he skis with me, he borrows my skis, and usually is on the public enemys, though he recently discovered that the pimps were fun, and now i need a pair that are a similar size so that when he steals mine, i've got another pair to use.

and the scottybobs are the best. personally never skied a better tele ski. also, they make alpine boards now. they're from wyoming, silverton to begin with. excellent and snappy, do all go anywhere skis that turn great on hardpack, hold an edge like crazy, and float through pow. those cut tails, despite my claim that i was chased by snow sharks and all they got was a bite, are really for better tail release (i'm sure scottybob might say it slightly differently). tele turns are different radius turns on each foot, so the shortened side on the inside of the turn really cleans up the end of the turn, making skiing effortless. (that's kind of a lie, my quads still burn on scottybobs.)
i would suggest any tele skier get a pair. haven't tried the alpines yet, but i'm guessing they would be as fun.

You know, I look at your quiver and agree, "Simple and effective." I need to get rid of about six pairs of skis. You could really do it all with those two which I have in my quiver as well.

Having a lot of skis is nice, but with only having a few pair you really get to know the ski and its capabilities.

BTW XavierD those ON3Ps are filthy.

ya, those three skis pretty much kill it. the only thing I would want to add is a park ski.
The Billy Goats (center) are my everyday, do anything ski. No matter what it is I have no problem getting down it with them, they are nimble enough for tight lines and trees, yet I can still open up on them. These are the skis I use when I am shooting.

The Caylors (right) are the more jiby ski that I can still ski all mountain with. If I feel like I want to do some more switch stuff I take them up. A little big for the park but otherwise they work great.

The Wrenegades (left) are the baby crushers.

that is a really nice quiver that covers all extremes and gives you good options with having any real overlap (bros and gots are similar, but the bindings justify that)

Thanks. I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied overall, but its always tempting to buy more skis. Problem now is that there isn't many spaces to fill without getting some more serious overlap.

i'm beginning to realize that my daily drivers (pontoons so far this year) do the work most days... but sure is nice to have one skinny twinny, one long race pair for the super ice days when nothing else will do, one mid fat, and one real fat pair. so, that's 8 pairs legit if you include both alpine and tele... though the race pair would be the first to go, not that they're worth much...
