For the monosplit, I have to disappoint you. Got it late season and bindings even later, haven't have possibility to test it yet. It's extra stiff Snowgunz Split Axe (

Wood veneers are finnish skis

Pindungs work great for lift accessed/sled skiing, with just little bit of touring. Skis just like normal alpine binding. You can tour on it, but it's so heavy that I wouldn't dream doing any longer tours on it. There has been some issues couple of times with them opening during touring, maybe some ice in wrong place? Luckily it's really easy to fix with voile strap. These are pre-production models, so this might be fixed for later models. I have been touring on shifts for maybe 15-20 days and some resort days, they have their problems too, some times brakes pop up if just mildly touch it with other ski etc. Skiing vice no problems at all, but I have adjusted it very carefully and always double check that there's no snow on soles. For 90/10 resort/"touring" Pindungs would be my choice, any more touring than that and I would take Shifts.
A-stars are really good all-round skiing when there's soft snow, definitely one of my all time favourites!
