^ many thanks. that looks awesome, and pretty much what I was hoping for. as I guy who pretty much likes flat tails / "stealth tail rocker" splay, the rocker pics on their website were kinda scary lol. that + tectons (or tbh just MTNs w/brakes, I only weigh 150lbs) might be my new resort/travel setup...

damn you and your Ravens TahoeJ! Seeing as we seem to enjoy similar skis - even if I really like Kartels - you just pushed me over the edge and have a pair on the way.

Agreed - that is one solid quiver for going down the hill fast. Impressed!

Did you consider the 187 Hoji at all for your touring setup? Normally I would pick all the same type of skis and lengths as your others but I'm contemplating the 187 Hoji instead of the 195 to be my sole touring setup, mostly for easier switchbacks with the tail length and a little nimbler.

I did not consider the 187 at all. All the reviews I red talked of that they ski short for the length, which indeed they do thanks to the lightweight build of the ski, the full rocker and forward mount. I've only had one tour so far. They were pretty easy to kickturn and switchback. Not as much ski in front of the binding to have to kick back and clear.

How does that BMX compare to the cochise?

Thank you. The Orca is stupid fun...makes you feel like a kid again. Does great on most conditions; super stable for its length. Only complaint is the new eco-friendly top sheet construction that Lib Tech is experimenting with could be more durable (appreciate what they're trying to do though). Will probably buy another one next year if they continue to make this shape (that or the MC Wayfinder).

thanks man. I've been really curious about that board. Seeing as I just bought a Climax on sale (35% off luckily, but still ouch!) I will give it a go first, but something like an Orca is also something that I am really wanting to try. I will probably opt for a Furberg pow split instead though due to the rediculous amount of killer terrain I can access with a 5 - 10 min hike. Time will tell.

Also - I see we have very similar tastes in skis K108s for daily drivers and then w108 and BGs for chargy & pow days is a very good way of having fun on the slopes I would probably opt for some Tectons or Shifts on the Steeples though, as it would probably make touring a whole lot more enjoyable - if a bit costly.

BMX HP's are more of a finesse charger compared to the cochise. A little more nimble and less damp. They ski short for the length due to the widest contact point of the tip being fairly far back. Just the right amount of tip and tail rocker. They want to be skied a lot more upright then the cochise. They do not crush like the cochise. More playful for sure.

    SSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCKKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!! We're NOT WORTHY ! We're NOT WORTHY !

    Read the 2017 article/snapshot of powderoflavancher's quiver at http://www.skipass.com/news/150396-d...e-legende.html

tuco, no one can follow that, but I say you gotta post yours up next to keep this thread rolling. Plus we North Americans need a comeback after France dropped that bomb.

If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

WTF. Thats not a quiver, thats a demo ski shop. How the hell do you choose what youre skiing on? Damn, and I thought I had a problem. Youre officially a ski hoarder, which I previously thought was impossible.
