How do you like the flex on the hot dogger for all-mountain/tree/freeride skiing?

Caucasian Asian did you cut off the tails on the blowers with Dukes? Does it help with the hooky tail those skis are known to have?

The tails on that pair have been cropped. They were done for ease of skin attachment. I've never had any problems with those goofy tails being "hooky", and I had both 185s and 193s.

It dont matter much. You can get stiff flexing tongues for it for 40 bucks, make it a 120 flex if you want.

The flex 4 tongue (hot dogger) is soft. Most people would consider it a park tongue. If you like soft boots, then you are good.

The 2010 Hot Dogger is actually a 6. Some were given the wrong sticker, but confirmed through FT that they are indeed 6's. They feel like about a 90 - maybe just a tad softer. The 2009 HD was a 4 though.

Personally, I wouldn't want to go any softer. They also have a pretty plush liner too compared to the Krypton ID Gold - almost "squishy" feeling. Even softer than the ID Silver.
