    Tahoe area boaters??

Just moved to Truckee yesterday from Jackson and was wondering what rivers are still running around the area, not ready to put the raft away yet

Thanks Crackboy, boof.com looks good. Probably gonna hit up both rivers in October after the unpacking and arrainging of the house is done. Looking forward to a big el nino ski season and hopefully a good spring run off next year.

October is a good time on the SFA since there isn't much in teh way of boater traffic though it can be cold. haven't run the trinity but its supposedly nice. once it starts raining its a good place to be for rivers

    Hey crackboy,
I run a 13' 8" raft, center oar mounted, will this work for SFA, or should we just paddle it?

You can row the SFA; plenty of room. You can do the whole thing in a day that way, chili bar and gorge.

You've also got MF American, dam release, also rowable, although it means you can't ride your boat over ruck-a-chucky.

Just missed NF Feather release, and Tuolumne season.

Closer but getting bony, Truckee above and below floriston. Couple good drops and two nice dams below floriston you can run (don't run the second, just the first and third).

yea a 14 fter is a perfect size with it. Lots of rowing room. i actually like a lot of the rowing lines better than as a paddle guide. let me know if you need people to paddle with. I am not living there but most of my paddle buddies are still back there.
