If you happened to buy a kind everything bagel with cream cheese from a tall woman on rollerblades and a flowing skirt in the Foxboro lot after that DMF/HJ, that was the soon to be Mrs P.

Awesome in every way! Hopefully they'll play the next Presidential Inaugural!

I was working as a sea kayak guide and out leading a 5 day camping trip here on the Coast of Maine… the company shuttle driver called me on the VHF radio and told me. He then played Brokedown Palace into the mic from the van cassette deck.

Shortly after the news got me -
I was sitting on the hood of my Delta 88 in the Bromley Parking lot hammering long trail double bags listening My favorite JGB tape - over and over and over again...
Thinking to myself - now what. ?

    Gotta be Olampali

People age differently. That said, with regards to The Dead, I can see the young(er) Jerry in the old(er) Jerry, the young(er) Bob in the old(er) Bob. Likewise for Phil and Mickey. But Bill, even though over the recent years I've gotten used to how he looks now, I still have trouble seeing his younger self in there. It's like at some point he just became a different guy. Am I tripping?

Regardless, I did read Deal a while back, and thoroughly enjoyed it. And I also appreciate his ruminations on music and the whole Dead thing.

I was in York England. Toured the city with the family and called home to talk with my (now) wife. She delivered the news. My brother and I went to a pub after that. And we found many fellow heads drowning their sorrows.

What say you? What's your favorite Jack Straw?
Stumbled across this one tonight… 7/10/90.

The whole show is full of fun like this. The boys look so happy on this night. Bruce on accordion… the special sauce between Jerry and Brent spicing them up.

Summer ‘90 was fun (until it wasn’t). Not as good as ‘89 but they were still sharp.

Somewhere west of pagosa springs. Peeps that I was with found out one or two days later on a trip into town. Spent most of that evening/night at a bar. Several of us weren’t 21 yet. The bartender didn’t care. Grateful for the friends to mourn with at that time and for those that got us safely back to camp that night.
