    Arrow Atomic Big Daddies FS

I've got a pair of Atomic Big Daddies that need a new home. Skied on one season, no core shots, in good shape. I have both the atomic binding plate and the Telemark-Pyrenees binding plate that was made for Standard size Fritschis, but it looks like you can put any binding on them. I'm hoping to get $400, but am somewhat negotiable on price if someone wants 'em. They're great skis.

    For those who don't know:

    193 cm
133-107-123 (I think on that tail dimension, I'll have to double check)

    34 m turn radius

    stiff as hell.

well, I was also skiing on another pairlast season. I'd say these got 20-30 days. The bases are in good shape, and the skis don't show much abuse I think. The skis were so big and I'm so light even when I blatantly hit rocks, it didn't go very deep at all. I think the skis are pretty tough in general too. It'll be interesting to see how the Karhus compare as far as durability. (They came today, and I'm way excited, the flex seems nice and they're lighter than the BDs.) Anyway, if you're interested I can take pictures and post em for you to see the topsheet and bases for yourself.

thanks gramps, not so much worried about the apperance on top or bottom as much as the life left factor with foam core. do you ski fast and hard or slow like a tard, do you chow the mank or kinda stank, are they beat to hell or no wear to tell.

Well AK, A big part of the reason I'm selling the skis is because I felt they were built for a larger guy than myself. I'm a good skier and have had some sick runs on these things, but once the snow got choppy or variable I felt like I was getting tossed. So yeah, I think there's probably a lot of life left in the skis. My impression all season was my 140 lbs. could never even make a dent in the flex, thus I felt tossed. I also don't do much hucking so these skis haven't been subject to any huge forces from that either. I always sought out the smooth snow with these boards, cause they schooled me in the choppy stuff. Case in point...

mmm... I know I was goin pretty fast on that one, I think I was also chowing the mank?

Bottom line is: they're in good shape. They have the usual topsheet wear and tear, and they're some long marks in the bases, but not to the core.

I'll take $350 plus shipping for em, but I've already decided that's as low as I'm going, cause they are still worth something to me.

looks like east castle. (?) did you skin or boot pack? i'm guessing that was after the season. there's no way that they'll open that up and have only one line down it.

Yep, that's the ribbon looker's right. Yep it was post season - May 13th. I skinned it. I used the normal season approach, which was probably stupid from an avalanche point of view, cause I was traversing across the top of the whole slope, but it just seemed like the "right way" at the time. My buddy and I grabbed a Eddie's and a nest the day previous. I went back by myself the next day, and got East Castle, Catherine's and another Nest. I took the pic while skinning up the cat-track to Supreme and Catherine's for run #2.

Anyway $350 Big Daddies w/ original Atomic Plates as well as mount anything plates... [/self promotion]

Thought I'd bump this, since I still have 'em. $350. Hopefully I won't have them much longer as the ski swaps are coming up, and I'm planning on making the rounds at those.
