I have that brace minus the flames on it. I don't know if I will wear it this year or not but used it all last season and have no complaints. I did extensive research before selecting a brace and this one was one of the best.

yes, blue cross and blue shield, it IS critical to my health that my knee brace be painted to look like that.

of all the ACL threads i've seen this is the one piece of advice i've rarely, if ever seen here. but it's the one that works most.

since the high cuff on alpine boots, especially that rear spoiler that lets you bring yourself up out of the back seat postfall or postair, is a major contributor to ACL tears, (it simply levers our knees right out of socket), I considered whether or not it was time to consider the actual gear of alpine sking, as well as my chosen risk level. I went to tele boots, specifically the Scarpa T3, for it's low cuff.

5 years later, my knee is actually stronger than it first was. no joke. no damage.

And about the decreased power thing, tele vs. alpine. I do think there's a little less power. But it's all about the driver, not the car. Last year, this guy skis up to me in the lift line and says "Those are some wild turns you're throwing down. I've seen you from the lift a few times. You look like you're really enjoying yourself." I thanked him, felt really nice to hear.

Then he looks at down at my gear and exclaims he didn't realize i was on tele gear. I'd been doing some racer-carver turns with my heels down, non-tele, for the last few runs.

same thing happened in the park. kid didn't realize i was on T3's. it's a plastic touring boot/area boot so, to land anything you've got to have wicked good balance. The thing is, your body will learn. All you have to do is want it.

It frustrates me to see how many people could avoid continual knee explosions, bills, and pain if they'd just reconsider the gear they're on and subsequently the risk they choose to assume.

Shoe, good luck. keep that frown upside down.

I wore a brace after my first acl repair. I hated it. I think it was some sort of DonJoy, don't know the model. It was confortable, but I found that it made me hold back a little bit and I was a bit more hesitant. I stopped wearing it and after a few days the hesitation went away.

You inspired me and I had to go with the killer green as well....although, I got mine as killer green with a fade to white so I think I'm cooler, or something....

Mine's yellow to match my DR-Z250.

AG gets +2 coolness points for dirtbike-brace color coordination.

The only thing I have to match my killer green fade to white brace is a pair of old school tube socks with 3 green stripes on top. I think I'm -2 coolness points for that..

tube socks are the shit. don't sell yourself short. AG also got the knees blow sweatshirt. she basicly has this down to a science by now. dudes like me and you can't compeat with that.

nice action on the fade to white. Innovation sports doesn't offer that optio unless you want to pay extra. i think i'm just going to write 'i'm a killer, i'm Killer Green' on the brace with a sharpie and call it good.
