i think the price is right, you get a lot for your $1700.. not to mention a feature film quality video camera thrown in as a bonus. the only advantages full frame has over crop is one stop of high iso noise, shallower depth of field, more resolution (pretty moot at this point), and you have more high quality wide angle lens options. crops have plenty of advantages too.. i don't know why people rag on 1.6x all the time (but not 1.3x), there's nothing wrong with it, its just that canons never put a crop sensor in a semi-pro or pro body before.. for people on this forum who are amateurs on a budget that shoot a lot of skiing and sports and need reach/portability, this camera is a no brainer..
