what's in new big daddies?

a question from an italian friend who does not speak or read english (me nether, but I pretend to be able). What's new in 04/05 big daddies (apart from no more plates and the new cover art)?

I think the top sheet materials are new (not just the graphics) and I know it's softer. I haven't skied either so I don't know how much softer but I don't think it's down to wet noodle soft.

Hmm, they feel pretty much the same to me (have skied both) while skiing. I've heard people saying that the 05 versions is slightly softer and it miht feel a little softer while shopflexing, but while skiing I don't notice any difference. 05's are lighter by quite a lot. Topsheet feels pretty similar and scratches the same I think. Search around in Tech Talk for Big Daddies, I posted a few pictures and thoughts in a thread about Atomics a month or two ago too.

thanks telep, I was waiting for your insight cuz I remember your pictures and thoughts. I will send your comments to my friend. He's speculating about some amendmens in titanium use, I haven't see any real difference too. They're still in 193 one size fits all, aren't they?

Yup. Also I don't think there's anymore titanium in them than there was before.... Driling the mounting surface looked/felt similar to mounting Tele Daddies and early Pimp's.
