some damn good IPA's out there

After taking the summer off, my thirst for juicy DIPA's is huge, right now.

Just finished a Research Series. Beautiful pour, hazy, but not, too hazy. Three finger, clean white head. 80 ibu's and a very, well hidden, 8% abv. Quaffable DIPA's, yikes!

Frosty cans o beer = yum. None here yet, though haven't been to store since Thursday.

This is an awesome American IPA, such a rich well balanced flavor, get it while it lasts.

How's the new Citra Skadoosh? I've been debating a trip over but still have several 4pks of last months version and my fridge is already at capacity with all the recent local releases lately.

    Nice care package there Binky!

The new Citra Skadoosh 12 is really good as well, John tweeked it well, I loved the first one but didn't think the last one was as good and this one is much better.

Thanks, guess I'll be making a trip tomorrow so I'll have drink up today watching baseball to make room! Really like 11 w/Mosaic but whichever one was the Columbus Simcoe blend (7?) still stands out to me. Hoping he does a Galaxy version soon.

Had a NEIPA tasting (threw in couple west coast IPAs for good measure) a few weeks back. Monkish Matt Matt FTW (though things got a little fuzzy towards the end). Treehouse (esp. Bright) and Other Half were right up there though.

I've been doing the Wednesday night gravel ride, with Vollers and his crew in Woodstock. Hops and Barley is Vermont as Fuck. It's like a video store and a killer beer store. Their growler station was impressive as hell. Video store? Picked up another 12pack of Super Session #8, and a 4 of SOS.
SOS is pretty much awesome, not hazy, clean in appearance. This batch smells like peaches, watermelon, and bubblegum. It's so tasty!

Really good. Exceptional even. A happy mix between focal banger and a more tropical hill farmstead

some damn good IPA's out there

Had one of these last night. I've had it before and liked it, I was underwhelmed with this one. Still a solid IPA just not what I remembered.

Just had one. I think I'm starting to get why the Alchemist and Lawson's are the benchmark.
Cloudy, ultra-haze vs. semi-clear, burnt orange?
The clear wins, it's not even close. This last batch of SOS, game over.
    Thoughts?

How could I not buy this???
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

The VT clear is top shelf. The haze coming out of MA and RI is also top shelf

Second DDH Congress St, looks like they have Vicinity too, which is real good. Fort Point Pale Ale never disappoints.

Any of the Street IPA's and you really cant go wrong.

I'll add my thumbs up for Congress. That and Stillings are the 2 St series I always go for but hard to go wrong with any. I had a Mettle last night and although very good, imo Vicinity is a much better beer.

Anybody get their hands on HF cans yet? Saw they did a canning of Double Galaxy among others. I would have jumped in the car immediately had I seen/heard about that.
