year to year consistancy hasn't been there. since you don't believe me - because you want to be a douche - check out Schralp's very posts in this thread.

Nice to hear Rising Tide satisfying. I have only found what I have tried to date - 4 or 5 of their brews - to just be ok. Will look out for the dub.

Popped the Pliny. It is a damn good beer. It's really up there on my list.

The hype may have been warranted.

^Always fun when a beer meets or exceeds expectations. Hoppy Birphday. Trillium Congress St. for me. With apologies to those this may offend, but Boston finally has a good brewery. Trillium's hop forward stuff is great, Congress St and Fort Point Pale in particular.

    I've been crushing these lately

I've been a die hard "regular" IPA drinker for years.

These are great...tasty as a normal IPA, but you can gas em all day and still stay vertical
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

    BUY THESE------> 193 iM 103 - $50 http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...d.php?t=179797

^ Nice. For fellow MA mags Notch Left of the Dial is a similar "session-able" IPA at like 4.5%. Love the trend of flavorable hop forward crushable beers. Always stoked when I find something <6% that I really dig. Being one who digs having "a few."

What's the story on these goofy glasses? I keep seeing them in everyone's beer photos lately.

Is the color accurate in that photo? If so that's the pinkest beer I've ever seen.

good to know. i have gotten unintentionally shitfaced on beer a couple times since i started drinking the IPAs, so agree on the all-day IPAs.

It is an IPA glass, supposed to showcase the hops, let you smell it, etc.......just give me a pint glass and I am good.

Those spiegelau glasses are too damn expensive. Just use a large white wine glass for the same effect.

Agreed, I wouldn't have bought them myself but as a bday present, I'll take it...better than a tie any day. The only true benefit I can see over a red/large white wine glass is that the laser etching continues to keep a head throughout.

AD - Definitely not an accurate color reproduction, looks more like pink lemonade.

can, glass, bottle, frosted glass, mug,....I like it all.

I have a TreeHouse IPA glass that was a gift, but if I make a trip to a brewery and they have a nice glass I can see myself starting a collection. Like my ski area shot glass collection. So far I have Mt Snow and Magic. (jk, magic doesn't have shot glasses)

Love a good session IPA. My go too is Rudie by SKA.

Totally agreee that these are quite good, but flipside to the "staying vertical" part is that you need to drink all 6 to catch a buzz and then you're out $10. Earlier this year my local store had the 15 packs for $12 and it was a no brainer - now that they're $10/6er I stay away.

Agreed. It was probably my favorite IPA this summer. I know little about beer except for what I like, and I like this one a lot.

Other favorite beers over the past couple months:

    (1) Mammoth Epic IPA. I didn't have high expectations and may have cynically assumed that a ski-town beer might be trying to capitalize more on image than quality, but I love this beer. It's plenty hoppy without having an excessively tangy finish. Anyhow, I noticed it got only slightly above-average ratings on Beer Advocate, but I think it's fantastic.

    (2) [Not an IPA Warning] Sierra Nevada's Double Latte: Coffee Milk Stout (came as part of their Beer Camp package). Again, I had low expectations from a beer that includes milk and sugar, but I thought this beer was delicious as either a beer or a coffee drink. I'd like to find more.
