That Big Cranky is pure shit. The lil is a decent session. Big is a drain pour.

FYI these guys are putting Cannabinoids in beer. CBD, and it is now legal, nationwide. No psychotropic effects, no THC, etc. USDA approved.

Tried a few of their infused beers at GABF. Not really impressed by the beers, but they had a hudge line.
Nice little present from Colman!

Citra Variant. Centennial was as expected for that hop. Citra is pretty damn good.
Amazing how fast these fresh hop beers fade. Had a few today that were over a month old that has almost no hop flavor or aroma. This one was canned 9/26.
Wonder when breweries are gonna stop making them. Surly finally stopped offering Wet after last year's debacle. So expensive to brew and shelf life is so short.
Stop this year or generally? The kegs seem to get emptied pretty quickly
I maybe should say packaging... I'm sure the kegs empty quickly but from a cost standpoint they've got to be crazy expensive to make. And honestly it's rare that I've had a "fresh hop" beer that I would rather drink than say that breweries good IPA. Case in point Melvin's fresh hop beer that won at GABF. Had it the week before GABF at TMU and it was good but I'd rather drink a standard overly hoppy beer from them personally.
Maybe it's just a local thing here, being so close to the hop farms and all. They don't seem to be out of line cost wise and even the cans go. But there always are a few that linger around on shelves. I had a fresh hop zwickel or something German style last night that was pretty good, wasn't too old yet
Really dig the noob but having trouble finding it in stores. Guess I need to stop by and get it direct.
My in-laws went to VT and brought back some Heady's which was very thoughtful of them, but once again I was underwhelmed by the Heady. I prefer many others over that one these days.
^^^^just a temporary capacity issue from what I understand. They're working on another big expansion that will increase their capacity significantly. The demand definitely seems to be there (rightfully so).

Just had Headwall DIPA by Tamarack in Lakeside, MT! Holy shit! If this beer had any sort of marketing behind it or distribution people would go nuts over it. 85IBU 10.2%. Perfect blend of resin/pine/citrus and almost no detectable alcohol. Easier to drink than 2x4 but with more hop aroma and flavor. I talked to the brewer about it and I guess it just won a pretty big hoppy beer award but results haven't been published just yet. By far the best hoppy beer I've had in MT. Would put it right on or with anything Melvin, Comrade, Block 15, etc is doing. Brewer was super cool on disclosing a lot about the beer and their process for brewing it. Gonna have to try to brew something similar in the next few weeks.
A friend has been brewing with Sean Lawson since he started, they're really good friends. When I see him I always bring treehouse and ask him to bring me SS#2. People usually want the foil tops, and I do as well, but the Super Session is delicious and light and you can have more than a couple and still function.
To echo others in this thread, I am huge fan of Super Session #2. I have my local place that has a never-ending supply, which makes life great too!
It's so damn easy to drink!
