The ones I had this winter were really grassy... Wonder if it was an off batch.

Stoked - was at Russian River Brewing Co yesterday.

Picked up a case of Pliny the Elder along with 3 growlers of Pliny and added a 12-pack of Blind Pig. Happy August!

some damn good IPA's out there

Damn, went to hit the alchemist before I left Stowe this morning, drove by at about 1030, there was probably 200-300 people in line waiting for the brewery to open at 11. I didn't even slow down

Anybody in the Stowe/Waterbury area wanna send me a few Focal Bangers and Crushers? I'd be happy to return the favor, but the Lake Placid brew scene just ain't the same.... Paradox Brewery is really good, but they only do growlers... Happy to give money for your time

From what I've heard you can go at 3:00 and walk right in. Generally enough supply to last the day I think

Yeah that's what the guy at the bike shop told me, I just didn't have time to wait today, and there's no way I'm waiting in a one hour+ line on a 85 degree day for any beer! There's always next time I guess

At least I have my crowlers from pro pig and my case of heady [emoji16]

Fellow mag brought me a Melvin, Odd Thirteen, and BOOM Sauce the other day. All three solid beers, Melvin was the cleanest IPA, but the Odd13 was my favorite.

Boom sauce gets tons of hate out here. Post a pic in a beer forum on FB and count to 3 for the first "drain pour comment"

I was underwhelmed but have had way worse. Like Big Cranky. Ugh.

Yeah, with a name like that you are setting expectation kinda high. I might have had a few before and after that one.

They are worth the detour trust me. Most of the "insane" beer in New England has very limited distro and you gotta know when it lands if it does. Where is your bro located in Vt. Foley Brothers in Brandon makes some really good IPAs that can be found around VT a little more regularly. Tribute by 14th star has good distro as well as the brews from Lost Nation. NH surprisingly enough doesn't have anything to right home about. Bissell Brothers, Foundation, Maine Beer Co are the crushers in Maine but again they have such limited distro (Maine beer co isn't bad).

Just google these places and see what comes up as far as where you can get it (and when)

    VT:
    Alchemist
    Lawsons Finest Liquids
    Foley Brothers
    Burlington Beer Co
    Fiddlehead
    Hill Farmstead
    14th Star
    Lost Nation

    MA:
    Trillium
    Treehouse
    Night Shift
    Jack's Abbey

    ME:
    Bissell Borthers
    Maine Beer Co
    Foundation
    Allagash
    Banded Horn
    Oxbow
    Rising tide

    CT:
    New England Beer Co
    Two Roads

    NYC:
    Grimm
    Other Half
    Singlecut Beer Smiths
    Finback

    Amongst others
That is a good list...and true about NH.

There is a lot of great beer out here. I haven't even tried to keep track of what I've had.

Where in N Conway besides Flatbread and the Moat can I fine good beer and food?

I like Delaney's and the Shannon Door in Jackson up there. I don't hang out on that side often though, so others will have more/better info. Tuckerman?

Luponic Distortion 002 - picked it up knowing nothing about it and it's damn good. Eminently crushable.
