Tonight's lineup... NW vs MW. That Sticky Hands from Block 15 is insane. Definitely the best IPA being brewed in NW right now. Although I haven't had any Great Notion. Blows the doors off Anything from Barley Browns or Boneyard!
cool to see block15 mentioned, my good buddy is a brewer there, but he works more on the expiramental one off tap only beers now that sticky hands has gone to cans
im expecting a OR care package from him anytime now with some of his new creations as well as some sticky cans
still havent tried todd the axeman but hear great things, but im so let down by other surly ipa, i love hell though, but overated is trash, and furious is mediocre at best, 'merica is meh as well but expectations werent high on that one

I wonder how many different kinds of flavors the ballast point overlords can produce from the same stock ipa recipe to make back that billion.

Bell's new Hopsolution is very nice. Big and fruity without any hint of being syrupy.

Have you tried their Robot Librarian? Awesome stuff. Way too easy to drink and absolutely no hint of the 8.25%.

Also picked up some Cigar City Jai Alai from the Tasty Weasel Tap room last week. Great IPA. Hopefully OB will increase their distribution in CO.

Yep. I have had most of the stuff from ODD13.

Jai Alai is good stuff. I am going to be in Tampa tomorrow.

some damn good IPA's out there

My brother in law is traveling to Ashville and Great Smokey NP from VT and is planning to bring us some local beers.

    Any recommendations?

We will be in RI next week and N Conway NH the week after. What should we be looking for there? I've got a gift cert to Moat Mtn so one night there for sure.

What are growler laws like? Can I bring my HydroFlask and have it filled? CA just started allowing this.

Get it from VT, seriously. That state is fucking killing it beer wise. Maine too.

Yes but I'm not going to VT or ME sadly. Bro told me he'd never heard of Heady Topper so I'm sorta on my own. He's not going to be able to help with much.

I had one of those last night for the first time and holy shit was it good...! My absolute two favorite until yesterday was Zombie Dust from Three Floyd's and RPM from Boneyard and Heady Topper is right there with them... Now I need to figure out how to get my hands on some more...

Are you driving through or near Boston? Trillium stuff is insane (I prefer it to The Alchemist Beers and Lawsons). They have two brewery locations, one right in Boston and one in Canton. They are worth the detour trust me. Most of the "insane" beer in New England has very limited distro and you gotta know when it lands if it does. Where is your bro located in Vt. Foley Brothers in Brandon makes some really good IPAs that can be found around VT a little more regularly. Tribute by 14th star has good distro as well as the brews from Lost Nation. NH surprisingly enough doesn't have anything to right home about. Bissell Brothers, Foundation, Maine Beer Co are the crushers in Maine but again they have such limited distro (Maine beer co isn't bad).

Just google these places and see what comes up as far as where you can get it (and when)

    VT:
    Alchemist
    Lawsons Finest Liquids
    Foley Brothers
    Burlington Beer Co
    Fiddlehead
    Hill Farmstead
    14th Star
    Lost Nation

    MA:
    Trillium
    Treehouse
    Night Shift
    Jack's Abbey

    ME:
    Bissell Borthers
    Maine Beer Co
    Foundation
    Allagash
    Banded Horn
    Oxbow
    Rising tide

    CT:
    New England Beer Co
    Two Roads

    NYC:
    Grimm
    Other Half
    Singlecut Beer Smiths
    Finback

    Amongst others

Hit Prohibition Pig today. Incredible beer. The double IPA was by far the best I ever had.

Sunset last night at the Alchemist brewery. Grabbed a case of Heady from the crusty local at the liquor store that told the kid in front of me there was a 1-4 pack limit.

They serve this stuff everywhere, even the bowling alley! First visit to Mad Taco yesterday too. Such good food, and Sip of Sunshine on tap!
This little area of Vermont has such a great selection of beer. I'm calling my 3 day trip Beercation[emoji767][emoji16]

Was In VT last September and hit Waitsfield Monday AM I think for the local drops there and there wasn't a soul around. Got my limit of SOS and Heady at multiple locations, one of which is the only two places that used to sell cases (I think they still do?).

Super Session is so damn good for such low ABV!

Flying back again in a month. Landing Boston early AM on a Wednesday, driving straight to Monson with my parents who will be standing in line with me to receive their alottment (or mine ). Then staying for four days at a family friend's house who's property borders Foley Brothers. Hope to make a Fiddlehead, Foam, Alchemist lap at some point in time over those next few days as well. Maybe hit Trillium up right before I get to the airport. See how many cans I can stuff into my luggage. Definitely a beercation!
