Yeah, I don't drink their beers often, but everytime I do I wonder why I don't more often. The Daikaiju is really good also.

I was there on opening night, and my friend described that ipa (bastard kat - their first) as "homebrew". I was a little more generous, but yeah, that beer was created with the idea of not turning new customers off, rather than appealing to the pnw hop-head snobs.

Six years later, they are the #1 ipa brewer in this town, with 4 "always on tap" and another dozen on rotation.

Been shying away from the DIPA’s lately. BBC single hop series have been my go to. But I couldn’t resist this at the gas station.

It’s tough to go out to a bar and the best choice is Sam Adams Summer Ale. These poor NJ bastards.

Although I did pop into a local 5 barrel brewery in Pt Pleasant for a flight. Their IPAs were serviceable.
